To our Meadowbrook Families,

 

The health care providers at Meadowbrook Pediatrics are here to provide ongoing care to your children during this difficult time.  The safety and health of all of our patients is our top priority.  We would like to inform our families that we have made some changes to our office hours and procedures to limit any possible exposures to COVID 19.

 

OFFICE HOURS- Our office will be open from 9 am- 4 pm Monday through Friday.  After office hours, we will continue to have a provider on call for any urgent questions which cannot wait until the morning.

 

WELL VISITS- We are still seeing our well visits to ensure our patients are up to date with all vaccines and other well care needed to keep them safe and healthy.  We have decided to schedule well appointments in the mornings and our sick visits in the afternoons.  Please call if you or your child is sick so that we may reschedule the well visit to a later date. Please have only one parent/caregiver bring your child and leave other children at home, if possible.  When you enter the office, you will immediately be brought back into the exam room to limit any exposure to others.  Rooms, including all tables, chairs, sinks and door knobs are cleaned between each patient encounter.  Providers will wear masks to protect themselves and your children.

 

SICK VISITS- Please call our office if your child is sick.  We are trying to keep our children safely at home and hopefully out of the office, unless medically necessary.  A provider will decide if a patient needs to be seen in the office or if an alternative visit, such as a telehealth visit, can be conducted.  If the provider feels a telehealth visit is recommended, we will send you a link to log into at a specific appointment time.  You will be able to see and talk to the provider and the provider can see and evaluate your child.  Telehealth visits allow providers to discuss your concerns, assess your child, and make treatment decisions.  Conditions such as rashes, skin infections, pink eye, behavior problems, and many other health concerns can be safely managed and appropriately treated with telehealth.
